Default Re: What is the best rear projection HDTV currently?

Well if you are interested in good picture quality then the Mitsubishis are probably not the right choice. XV and Deep color aren't even available on software transfers yet so don't get so exicted about meaningless specs. The Perfect color is a pathetic attempt to give you some control over the incredibly inaccurate color decoding that they continue to put in their sets even when most other manufacturers are getting right out of the box. It is a big mistake to buy on manufacturers specifications. Caveat Emptor!

As far as fidelity and accuracy in RPTVs the Samsung HL-S and HL-T series DLP RPTVs are capable of delivering the best pictures, but of course you will need to have it calibrated to realize that potential.
