HDMI Compliant DVI TX/RX
Hi,
I had a query as to whether a HDMI CEA compliant DVI TX/RX can support a CEA Video format id code which has a pixel repetition greater than 0.
As per CEA(861-E) Specifications a transmission of AVI (audio-video infoframe) is a must if a video format is being transmitted with a pixel repetition greater than 0.
Since DVI does not support transmission of a AVI, does this mean that it cannot support a video format which runs with pixel repetition greater than 0.
For e.g. If we consider video id code 6 (i.e. Interlaced, 1440x480) of CEA spec 861-E has a pixel repetition of 1. So does this mean that DVI TX/RX do not support this video format ?
Please let me know if you get any information on this. Thanks in advance.
