HD DVD Takes Spotlight at CEDIA 2007
HD DVD made the following annoucements...
• Upcoming availability of more than 125 HD DVD day-and-date and catalog movie titles representing $3 billion in box office revenue, including this summer’s mega blockbuster, “Transformers”, slated for release on Oct. 16, and chock full of interactive and web-enabled features.
• A closer look at Toshiba’s third generation players – the most advanced, affordable line of HD DVD players to date. Toshiba also announced a special offer where consumers can purchase an HD DVD player and get the original Star Trek series on HD DVD, along with a Star Trek phaser that doubles as a remote control.
• A fourth quarter marketing blitz that includes a season-long partnership with NBC Television Station Group for NFL Sunday Night Football broadcasts reaching 72 million households.
• Spotlight on PC momentum at the HD DVD Mobile Experience, with four out of the top five PC makers – Toshiba, HP, Acer and Gateway – showing off HD DVD-enabled notebooks. HD DVD has a strong 70% market share for high definition notebooks.
