I just got hooked up last night. Is the DishTV format proprietary? Has anyone been able to archive movies off the USB hard drive? Quality looks good, but speed (to backup to USB) is slow (45 minutes for 2 movies). Fortunately, you can archive in the background. It is best to plug in your USB drive, then call the phone number that appears on your screen, vs calling Dish first. It took forever, to get upgraded. I had to do a cold reboot, before the drive was recognized.
