I'm a newbie here, but not to audio in general, and even to the most skeptical, it is a fact that Ag provides less resistance than Cu (BTW, gold is worse than either of these). It is not surprising that, therefore, some change will occur when you switch from copper to silver of the same gauge. Less resistance means less damping. Many find that this causes their systems to sound "bright", a sound they are not used to. I use silver interconnects in certain areas of my rig where I can't used balanced connections. But using silver over copper it's not all BS. Oh, and silver oxide is almost as good a conductor as pure silver, so tarnish is not a problem. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for copper, which is why they should be plated, usually with gold.
