It all depends on the quality (sampling rate) of the digital-to-analog converter. (DAC or D-to-A) is a device for converting a digital (usually binary) code to an analog signal.
An LP is the highest quality format because it does not have to sample and convert sounds via an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and thus, back to (DAC) analog again.

SPARS is an acronym for the Society of Professional Audio Recording Services. The SPARS code is a three-letter code that appears on some Compact Disc recordings telling the consumer whether analog (A) or digital (D) equipment was used in producing the recording.
