FYI, to maybe confuse us all, I saw a new HDMI cable wit a screw type fastiuoner on the cable connector. I don't know whether this is an offshoot or whether it is due to a new HDME spec. Either way, I speculate that it is being done to make sure of a good connection because of past connection problems. Oh, yes, a threaded hole is needed at the ends.
