My original post was only to highlight my (positive) customer service experiences because it differed from those listed. I'm neither a scientist nor an engineer, but can absolutely say that in an A/B test (with and without) changing nothing else in the system, from a layman's perspective - my picture is definitely sharper and the blacks are blacker - whatever the techincal explanation.
More importantly however, my gear has a measure of protection it once lacked from the funky power variances - lightning, power surges and power outages - that are so prevalent in FL, and were the genesis for my purchase.
