Not really. I do know that the speakers are very nice. I wouldn't think the room would hurt you myself, but maybe some of the other members will chime in.
As far as the sub goes, you will have a volume control, you know.
Anyway I was thinking of the deepness of the bass, not the volume. But you are right they do put out some serious bass.
