Re: Western Digital TV HD Media Player
I have been using my WD Media Player as a music server - converting my CD collection to lossless FLAC with Winamp. It lets me hold far more music in a smaller space than my trusty Sony 300 disc changer. The only downside I've found so far has been that album art does not appear to be recognized with FLAC format music files. But the WD Player recognizes both folders and playlists, so organizing and selecting can conform to whatever scheme you want to create for yourself. There is also a Toslink fiber optic connection, which makes for very good audio quality. For the price of the player and a 1 TB drive, I've got a very reasonably priced music server for my entire collection.
