Not only will Pioneer no longer make TVs; but their future DVD (and Blu-ray?) players will all be rebadged Sharp products which doesn't bode well given Sharp's recent history of below-average quality players.
From now on, Pioneer will be focusing their business on car audio products which seems to be their only really profitable business line (accounting for more than half of their total revenue).
