Netgear makes an ethernet connection system that utilizes your existing electrical outlet and wiring for transmission. You connect one unit to your router and directly to an electrical outlet and then another unit to an outlet by your media center. You can then run an ethernet cable to your AV reciever from the media center outlet attachment and establish an internet connection.

I got turned on to this via one of the reviews in Amazon for AV receivers with internet capability. The reviewer was very pleased. The system is not expensive. Hope this info helps.
