GENUINE quality always trumps the feature of the month, and specialty products built by high-end companies are just a different animal than mass market Japanese products, which can be very good for their price points. Was the Integra Audyssey calibrated and its EQ turned on? Also, I don't understand "throw True HD....out the window". Does that mean you did not use those sources? Actually, I am rather interested in what you used as source material. I think it makes a big difference.
