I purchased a SS1500 Blu-ray player from BB. It gave me a problem--after playing one blu-ray movie, it would not load a new disc(either blue-ray or regular DVD. After speaking with the SS tech people they advised to return the unit. I exchanged it for a Panasonic which has been working fine. Some players have a cooling fan-the SS does not. Perhaps the unit was overheated despite being on an open shelf with plenty of breathing room.
