I and Jerry both own the XA2, and yep, it is a great scaling player, but it isn't HD. You just can't shine $hit, and Moose is so right about the new codecs, I think I even got quoted (or maybe should have!) about the MP3 analogy!

I agree calibration is key, and it should be done for all sets, but get a Blu-ray player too! I for one have been renting my Blu-rays from Netfilx, and when I buy them, often they are less than $20, I think I did pay $23 for Natural Born Killers just because I so love the film I have to have it..
