Just imagine what will happen when disk players (and disks) are completely obsolete.
I see a future (not too distant either I might add) where there is no need for ANY complicated disk handling transport. Simply download and software you want into non-volitale memory and enjoy. No need to drive to Blockbuster, or even wait for the Netflix mailman.
The next step will be an HDMI port in the base of my skull.
