I don't expect anything from Toshiba in regards to any retribution, however I would at LEAST expect all of their blu-ray players for at least the first two generations to also support HD DVD playback. If they don't, they're going to find a nice box with a mangled HD-A2 and a steaming pile of dogsh!t inside delivered to their front doorstep with a pledge from me that I'll stop at nothing to ensure that NO ONE I know will ever purchase another Toshiba product ever again.
