I love this rant, and have been saying just this for over a year, though I am waiting for 1080p with uncompressed audio to be downloadable. I think hard media is going to be unnecessary in the not too distant future and couldn't agree more that both of these formats may well become obsolete before either truly wins!
Now, I sure hope MY next job doesn't involve fries......
