While I haven't heard this exact unit, I am very familiar with the DV-9600 and think it is an excellent unit. Both the video and audio quality are quite good. The build quality and reliability have been first rate with all the Marantz DVD players I have had in my system. I would recommend getting it and trying it out in your system, after all that is the only way to know for sure if it will do what you want it to. Good luck.
