Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner) is a CIA agent, a spy for the United
States government. In her career, she’s become a master of several
languages, an artist when it comes to disguise and role-playing, and a
kick-butt martial artist and firearms handler. She’s also made a number
of enemies. That legacy plays out in the most recent season collection
to hit DVD.
Created by J.J. Abrams, who also created “Felicity” and co-created
“Lost,” “Alias” has developed a loyal fan base and spawned a number of
websites, all devoted to figuring out which twist Sydney Bristow’s life
will take next. The series has maintained a high level of
characterization, action ...

This dip into the variety format by “Newlyweds” star couple Nick Lachey
and Jessica Simpson is a modestly successful enterprise that recalls
the Sonny and Cher show of yesteryear. In fact, they conclude the
skit-based show with “I’ve Got You Babe,” which Sonny and Cher made
famous singing on their program.

I is here wit’ none other ‘dan my main man Ali G, the funniest,
freshest comedy I have seen on TV since the cutting edge Tenacious D
show. HBO has been so ahead of their time with comedies like the “Ben
Stiller Show,” “Mr. Show” and the aforementioned Tenacious D and they
are keeping that streak alive with Da Ali G Show. Ali G has been all
the rage in the U.K. and some forward thinking exec at HBO has brought
this brilliant show to the U.S. The concept of the show is pretty easy
to follow. British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen plays three different
characters that consist of hip hop TV show host Ali G, Russian news
magazine show host ...

During Season Five, “Highlander: The Series” was at the peak of its
creative glory. True, it is a slightly abbreviated season – 18 episodes
rather than the usual 22 – but some of these hours achieve a sense of
epic in both look and feel that is unusual on episodic television. In
those 18 hours, there is only one episode that can be labeled a clunker
– at least three are exceptional by just about any standards.

In “Combat/ Season 1: Campaign 1,” the trials and tribulations of World
War II arrived in the living rooms of American viewers in October 1962,
17 years after the end of that international engagement. For the next
five years, “Combat!” continued recounting stories of the European
theater, showcasing the men of King Company. Ironically, the first
episode was set in 1944, with the Normandy Invasion, making the last
year of the war last five years in real time, later echoed by
“M.A.S.H.,” another television series’ that had the anomaly of a
broadcast run that lasted twice the length of its subject, the Korean
War.
