Okay, "Lost," without a doubt" has had a tremendous impact on television primetime development and pop culture. However, I for one don't get it. I have never been a "Lost" fan and nor will I be. Thus, this review is going to comprise mainly of information on disc features and quality.
So, this is it, the last season of "Lost." Thank goodness. No longer will I have to see promos for the show. But that is just me. I'm not going to criticize the show. It obviously has millions of fans so something must be attractive about it. Therefore, those that are already fans don't need me to talk about how good the show is and nor will they accept arguments for why the show is not all it is cracked up to be.
While I have not watched more than a ...

Oh my. Heroes, Heroes, Heroes. What to do with "Heroes." Well, NBC finally did what was coming for quite some time. They have put the show out of it misery, and this season four is the final season that will ever be for this band of connected but not connected heroes and villains of the modern world.
When the show first premiered in 2006, it garnered much deserved attention from audiences and critics. The show was a refreshing take on heroes and villains. The complexity of the characters was well conceived and delivered. But, never has there been a show that was built up so well in season one that just completely crashed and burned in season two and beyond. I tried so hard to be a fan of the show. I gave it every benefit of the doubt, but as ...

It is always tough to elevate a television series in the middle, or possible the end, of its run. I am one of those people that can’t watch a series that I haven’t seen from the very first episode. I have watched “Smallville” from the pilot to last week’s episode. The same goes for “Heroes,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Ghost Whisperer,” among many others. And if I happen to miss an episode, I refuse to watch any future episodes until I am able to watch the missed episode. I just need that security that I know everything that is happening.
So when I received “How I Met Your Mother” season four, I wasn’t quite sure what to do. I did watch this show the first season and some of the second season, but began waning after that. I missed all of the ...

"Heroes" had one of the most promising starts in television history. It provided primetime television with elaborate superhero plots and a terrific cast. However, that was season one. Ever since then, the show has spiraled downhill. Still, I am a tremendously big fan of superhero/villain television and cinema so I while I can fault the methodologies, I cannot deny that I still find it entertaining, albeit exhausting.
When season two kicked off it was rather promising. However, as the writers' strike set in the show rushed the entire season arc into a half a season worth of episodes. It finished way too fast and was almost like the writers were planning on the cancelation of the show. Now, season three doesn't offer anything much better. The show wavers from being rushed to being too slow. The plots are simply ridiculous. The ...

"Smallville" is the latest episodic television series following the lore of Superman. I will admit, this review will be a bit biased, as I am an avid Superman fan. However, I will not lie that this particular season is a bit of a bummer, but there is always a silver lining. "Smallville's" fan base took quite a hit with its eighth season. Still, "Smallville" remains one of the best Superman television shows ever created.
The show took a little while to get into the swing of things, but by the third and fourth seasons it was going strong. The first season in particular was plagued by the villain-of-the-week syndrome. Eventually the show starting creating story arcs that captured audiences. The show found a strong foothold in stories about Lex and Clark's early relationship, as well as the struggle to keep Clark's ...
