Dollhouse - The Complete First Season (2009) "Dollhouse" is a highly original television show.  I know that is how it is touted in the promos, but it is true.  It is refreshing programming.  However, not all is well and good in its world.  Creator Joss Whedon might have the chance to pull off another one of his miracles if given the chance by Fox. Whedon is responsible for some of the most thrilling television programming.  However, Whedon has been cursed ever since "Buff the Vampire Slayer."  "Buffy" was his ultimate creation.  In fact, after he was let down by his story when it was turned into a feature film starring Kristy Swanson, Whedon took a script and pilot to Fox, aired by Warner Bros.  He was granted a 12-episode deal and that was all he needed to turn Buffy into a cult phenomenon that lasted for seven seasons. "Firefly" ...

Lost - The Complete Second Season (2005) ABC’s Lost Season 2 continues the journey of the 40 survivors introduced to us in Season 1 who are stuck on a remote island somewhere in the South Pacific.  The first season establishes that the survivors of Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 did not crash on an ordinary island.  Not only are they not alone on the island, but there are other mysterious events always occurring.  They hear strange voices and see an unexplained polar bear on the island, while also being confronted by a mysterious monster that hides in the jungle and attacks the survivors.  While the first season is about introducing the survivors, the second season is about a 1980s scientific Dharma Initiative research station the survivors call the "hatch". The main theme of Season 2 revolves around the history of a group of researchers who had once inhabited the ...

Lost - The Complete First Season (2004) Arguably one of ABC’s best drama series during the past 5 years, "Lost's" first season began in 2004 and captured our sense of adventure and mystery from the very first episode.  It introduces 48 survivors of an airplane that crashed on an island somewhere in the South Pacific.  While waiting and desperately hoping to be rescued, they discover that this island is like none they have ever seen before.  Not only do they begin to hear strange voices and see an unexplained polar bear, but they are also confronted by a mysterious monster that hides in the jungle.  But that is only the beginning of the mystery surrounding this island.  Soon the survivors find that they are not alone on this island.  Who are these “Others”?  Each episode has events which make us have even more questions.  What is the ...

Grey's Anatomy - The Complete Fourth Season (Expanded) I know what you are thinking, "not another medical drama."  But before you groan, "Grey's Anatomy" is a medical drama that combines the best of every medical show ever made.  Take the early years of "E.R" and the comedy of "Scrubs," mixed them together and you get "Grey's Anatomy." The show has received a lot of attention due to the Isaiah Washington remarks and subsequent departure from the show, and due to Katherine Heigl's rise to super-stardom.  All that may overshadow the actual show, but "Grey's" is truly an amazing show. The entire cast delivers outstanding performances.  Never has there been such a shining cast.  Ellen Pompeo plays Dr. Meredith Grey.  She comes into season four struggling with balancing her life.  Although it appears that she has everything going for her, she is emotionally unstable.  She manages to push Dr. Derek Shepherd ...
