Chicken Little (3D/2D) (2005) This a review of the 3D version of “Chicken Little.”  See the 3D Video section for updated information regarding this title’s 3D quality.  The remainder of the 3D release is identical to the previous “Chicken Little” Blu-ray release, including audio options and special features.  This package simply includes a Blu-ray 3D disc in addition. At one time or another during childhood, we heard the story of Chicken Little and the coming apocalypse. Using our imagination and the illustrations from the children's book, we could all picture the scenario in our minds. Now the wonderful imagineers at Disney Pictures have brought Chicken Little and the town of Oakey Oaks to the big screen.Just as in the fable, Chicken Little shouted to the world, “the sky is falling, the sky is falling,” causing complete mayhem throughout the town of Oakey Oaks. This sequence ...

Toy Story 3 (3D/2D) (2010) This a review of the 3D version of “Toy Story 3.”  See the 3D Video section for updated information regarding this title’s 3D quality.  The remainder of the 3D release is identical to the previous “Toy Story 3” Blu-ray release, including audio options and special features.  This package simply includes a Blu-ray 3D disc in addition.Pixar is an amazing production house.  It goes without question that every one of their productions has been a huge success.  With Pixar animations it is hard for anyone to argue against their creations.  They are beautiful, entertaining and just a joy to watch.  Their films have entertained children and adults alike for nearly 20 years. The mid and late 1990s brought us two of the must beloved Pixar classics, "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2."  Now, more than a decade later, almost without word of ...

Toy Story 2 (3D/2D) (1999) This a review of the 3D version of “Toy Story 2.”  See the 3D Video section for updated information regarding this title’s 3D quality.  The remainder of the 3D release is identical to the previous “Toy Story 2” Blu-ray release, including audio options and special features.  This package simply includes a Blu-ray 3D disc in addition.Marvelous.  Simply marvelous.  That is all I can really say about this film.  "Toy Story 2" was as much unexpected as it was successful.  Full-length, theatrically released animated sequels were unheard of.  And to this today there haven't been many.  In fact, with "Toy Story 3" coming to theaters in a few months it still ranks as one of the only animated franchises to have theatrically released sequels. What's more, is that the sequel is actually better than the original, something that is quite uncommon among ...

Toy Story (3D/2D) (1995) This a review of the 3D version of “Toy Story.”  See the 3D Video section for updated information regarding this title’s 3D quality.  The remainder of the 3D release is identical to the previous “Toy Story” Blu-ray release, including audio options and special features.  This package simply includes a Blu-ray 3D disc in addition."Toy Story" is one of the animated films that started it all in terms of visual expectations for children's films.  For that matter, it paved the way for adult expectations as well.  Forget all the hoopla over the Disney-Pixar quarrel and just take a look at what this film represents.  It combines imagination-capturing animation and a story to boot. The first of the Toy Story saga was released in 1995 to critical acclaim.  Well some debated between classic-drawn animation and computer animation, there is no argument that "Toy ...

Cars 2 (3D/2D) (2011) For those that are unaware, yes Pixar did create and release a sequel to their famed hit, “Cars.”  While “Cars 2” is sure to light up the faces of children, it fails to capture a broad spectrum of audience viewers unlike their previous classics.  This is not to say that “Cars 2” is all bad, it just doesn’t live up to Pixar’s reputation. In all fairness, it is really difficult for a studio turn out hit after hit as expectations keep increasing.  10 years ago this would be an instant classic for based on its time of inception.  However, now that we have seen what the studio has to offer, “Cars 2” leaves us a bit indifferent. The film does not suffer in a technical way, but in a storytelling way.  The film lacks a gripping story and is told in bits ...
