ESPN 3D Hits Comcast on June 11th
Sure, it's a niche, but if you're a sports fan with a 3D television and a Comcast subscription, then June 11th is the day you've been waiting for.  That's the day that ESPN 3D will go live to Comcast subscribers.  I'm not a huge soccer fan, and honestly, I don't know anyone that is.  It's a great sport, I'm sure, but the hype surrounding the FIFA World Cup baffles me.  Still, the June 11th date was picked for that very reason.

South Korea is First in Terrestrial 3-D Broadcasting
We may have3-D going out via cable and satellite, but South Korea (the Korea we like) is the first to deliver 3-D television over the air.  Broadcasting will start in the next few weeks, and will feature full fledged high-definition 3-D video from all four of the country’s land-based television stations.

Over Half of US Homes Have HDTVs, but Many Still Lack HD Signals
At 53 percent, we're well over the halfway point for HDTV ownership, according to the latest Nielson report.  It's great to see that high definition television owners are still in the majority, and that the number is continuing to climb, but there's one trend that's just a bit odd.
