A new update for the Xbox 360 went live yesterday morning and the new features definitely impress. It's sleeker, faster and has some new sound effects that aren't quite so annoying as the old ones, but the really interesting stuff is in the video.
There's a frustrating problem with 3D glasses that you may or may not have run into. Though almost every in-home 3D solution available uses active shutter glasses, those glasses aren't compatible from set to set. That means if you upgrade, or go over to a friend's house, you'll have to worry about whether your glasses will work or not.
One of the biggest complaints about 3D comes from those with less than perfect vision. Wearing a second pair of glasses over your existing glasses is uncomfortable, not to mention silly looking. Though Samsung doesn't think we'll be going glasses-free any time soon , they have offered a solution.
The new TRON movie is an opportunity for fans to relive the classic movie and catch up with the world that's been constantly evolving since we saw it last. It's also an opportunity for a few companies to do some synergistic marketing. You'll see plenty of tie-ins to the movie, but the most interesting and confounding is the special edition TRON 3D glasses from Oakley.
