The DISH Network and Turner Network Television are partnering to offer DISH Network satellite TV customers TNT in high definition beginning today. The 24-hour HDTV presentation of TNT's East Coast feed will offer DISH Network customers a wide range of programming in HDTV format, including sports (such as the NBA Playoffs this evening), movies, TNT Originals and other shows.

Discovery HD Theater announced that two hit Discovery Channel series will premiere in high-definition this summer. American Chopper and Monster Garage will premier in HD on Father's Day (June 20) with subsequent episodes to air in HD weekly beginning in July. Also premiering alongside American Chopper and Monster Garage is episode two of the four-part series, The Blue Realm, which dives deep finding secrets and unusual behavior of undersea animals.

INHD, cable’s most distributed 24/7 all-HD network, reached an agreement with the PGA Tour to present high-definition coverage of four PGA Tour Tournaments. Under the agreement, INHD will air a high-definition version of USA Network’s live Thursday and Friday action for each of the following events:

Going public in the middle of a heated negotiation worked for EchoStar CEO, Charles Ergen because Viacom’s channels are back on Dish Network after a brief hiatus. After being bloodied by congress just a few weeks earlier, Viacom CEO, Mel Karmazin seemingly acquiesced from forcing Dish Network to pull all of the Viacom channels from their satellite TV line up. Some of these channels include CBS, MTV, VH1, Comedy Central and many others.

No more Discovery HD Theater shows about Manatees for OJ Simpson. The Heisman trophy winning USC running back has reportedly been sued by satellite TV provider DirecTV. In a report on today, the satellite provider filed a federal suit against the former NFL star for use of cheater cards or bootlaoders which allow users to have access to many if not all of the channels on DirecTV without paying for them. Simpson’s home theater equipment was reportedly ceased during a government raid of his home looking for drugs in 2001. This is when they supposedly found the illegal DSS hardware.
