DirecTV and the NFL have announced a new multi-year deal that will allow DirecTV to continue holding the exclusive rights to the NFL's Sunday Ticket package while also gaining expanded rights to stream live games on broadband connections and mobile devices. While specifics on the agreement have not been disclosed, reports from sports business analyst Darren Rovell, indicate that the deal is good for eight years and is estimated to be worth around $1.5 billion annually.

Amazon has announced the arrival of Prime Instant Video on Android mobile devices, giving subscribers access to tens of thousands of movies and TV shows. The updated Android Amazon app is now available for Android users in the US, UK, and Germany.
Joining previously supported devices like the Amazon Fire TV, Kindle Fire tablets, Roku 3, and Roku Streaming Stick, the NFL has launched NFL Now on the Apple TV. The app offers access to the NFL's growing collection of football video content.
