S1 Digital’s New Media Server Streams HD Movies and TV
Allowing for more flexibility than Windows Media Center based servers, S1 Digital has high hopes for their Digital Entertainment Platform.  S1’s DRM workaround allows their servers to capture and stream CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs, even downloading appropriate cover art and data.  More impressive though, is the ability to stream live television (via cable card or atsc) from the server to multiple clients.

NetFlix Spreads to Windows Media Center
You can now access Netflix on your TV through Windows Media Center, ideal for those with Windows based media servers.  The Netflix application is available through the Media Center main menu by clicking the TV+Movies tab.

Netgear Launches the Digital Entertainer Elite
Netgear has relased their EVA9150 Digital Entertainer Elite.  The device will allow users to play digital media files from their computer on their home entertainment center.  The Digital Entertainer Elite uses either an Ethernet or wireless connection to sync up with your computer.

Niveus Media Releases a 160GB Multiroom Zone Mini Server
Niveus Media has released a mini server to compliment its lineup of robust, and larger, Media Center servers.  The Zone retails for $1,400 and is available now from Niveus’ website. Physically, the Zone server is 6x6x2 inches, the smallest server from Niveus to date.

Vudu Can Access Pandora Streams Now
Vudu is expanding on its RIA, or Rich Internet Application, platform by announcing the inclusion of Pandora – a popular online music provider.  Pandora joins Picasa, Flickr and other applications that Vudu has incorporated into its set top box service.
