VidaBox Announces New Extenders, Remotes and More
It’s time for Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) and while that doesn’t mean a lot as far as Blu-ray players, televisions and speakers are concerned, fans of multi-room solutions will have a lot to look at.  The show kicked off today in Amsterdam and VidaBox had plenty to talk about. For starters, their newly redesigned FireServer, which adds multi-zone streaming for DVD and Blu-ray streaming at an entry level price.

D-Link Presents Boxee Box For Home Entertainment Networking
D-Link is best known for their networking devices, such as routers.  At CES they are presenting their Boxee Box, which comes hardware with software.  The original software piece, Boxee, scoured the Internet for videos.  Not only does it search for TV shows and movies, it also pulls videos from academic and presentation sites.

The Criterion Collection Hits Vudu
An increasingly commonplace addition to home theater components, the Vudu streaming service provides a pretty good range of movies, many in high definition.  One of the prime issues though is separating themselves from the crowd.  Thanks to the recent addition of Criterion Collection films, Vudu has the opportunity to do that.  Known for their unparalleled DVD releases, Criterion picks only the best films (and Armageddon) to enhance with their special treatment.

S1 Digital’s New Media Server Streams HD Movies and TV
Allowing for more flexibility than Windows Media Center based servers, S1 Digital has high hopes for their Digital Entertainment Platform.  S1’s DRM workaround allows their servers to capture and stream CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs, even downloading appropriate cover art and data.  More impressive though, is the ability to stream live television (via cable card or atsc) from the server to multiple clients.

NetFlix Spreads to Windows Media Center
You can now access Netflix on your TV through Windows Media Center, ideal for those with Windows based media servers.  The Netflix application is available through the Media Center main menu by clicking the TV+Movies tab.
