Going above and beyond the current standard for premium viewing, Full HD, JVC has announced its Super Hi-Vision D-ILA projector, the first of its kind in the world. This projector features a contrast ratio of 5500:1 and the ability to render a video with a 35 megapixel resolution due to the D-ILA display system.
A new powerful, portable high-performance projector has hit the market. The iVision 30 from Digital Projection International (DPI) is located in the middle of DPI’s line of high-performance video products. This physically small device, measuring just 3.5-inches tall and 11-inches wide, can be purchased with a standard lens (1080p-C) or wide-angle (1080p-W-XB).
A new entry level LCoS HD projector has hit the market. Cineversum (who?) has released the BlackWing One Projector. It features three 0.6-inch LCoS panels with a native resolution of 1920x1080. The BlackWing One will begin shipping in North America in mid-December.
JVC and Sensio 3D join forces to offer consumers the first 3D solution for the home theater. In order for viewers to receive 3D treatment, they must utilize two JVC HD-ILA projectors and a media server that integrates the Sensio 3D decoding technology.
