MartinLogan announces the introduction of the Descent, a reference powered subwoofer system. The Descent delivers low frequency information using advanced servo monitoring and control, BalancedForce bass configuration, low-mass aluminum element drivers, a low distortion amp and highly evolved enclosure technology. "MartinLogan set out to engineer the Descent subwoofer by developing standards beyond traditional subwoofer design. Designing to the higher standards of superior electrostatic transducers became the MartinLogan challenge. U.K. based Monitor Audio has just announced the release of their new FB 110 and FB 210 and FB 212 subwoofers. Designed to match even the "fastest" speakers on the market, even electrostatics, the new subwoofers from Monitor Audio use an extremely light and rigid silver 10" C-CAM (ceramic coated-aluminum/magnesium) drivers.
