Canton releases the redesigned GLE loudspeaker system, meant for stereo or multichannel audio setups.  The series consists of two floorstanding models, two compact speakers, a center channel, and on-wall speaker.  The new lineup also introduces the company's new mocca bicolor cabinet finish.

Audiovox's Acoustic Research is releasing a system that will convert any 5.1 system into a wireless surround array.  The company aims to market the device to those consumers that are frustrated by running wires to a receiver.  The Acoustic Research W51 uses point-to-multipoint technology.

SpeakerCraft announces their first On Ground or OG loudspeaker. Modeled after an exterior landscape lighting fixture, these speakers can be hidden in flower beds and planters or under bushes and shrubs.  Driven directly into the soil with a ground spike, these speakers can be placed almost anywhere and pointed toward the listening area. Their small size and shape make them ideal for situations where standard outdoor speakers or Rox would be out of place.

JBL, Inc. has announced the introduction of its JBL® On Air WEM-1 Wireless Expansion Module; which adds wireless capability to any loudspeaker. It eliminates the need to run speaker wires across a room or through walls, floors or ceilings.  The WEM-1 includes a transmitter module that connects to an audio source; a receiver/amplifier unit that connects to a pair of speakers; a remote control; and accessories.
