The new “Black Line” from Advance Acoustics is aimed towards those who want the very best out of their high fidelity sound. The MPP 202 is the first separate element from that line and it’s made to incorporate all the latest elements of hi-fi.
It is difficult to find a phono connection on a receiver these days. And it is even more difficult to find a high-quality preamp on those receivers. Pass Labs has the answer. At CES they are demonstrating their XP-25 Phono Preamp. The XP-25 has a new design, chief among them a separate chassis for the power supply.
Bryston has on display at CES a prototype of their new surround processor, the SP3. The processor is slated to be equipped with a couple of RS-232 remote control ports an infrared input as well as Ethernet. On the audio side of things the processor with contain a host of inputs and outputs.
The LL1 Signature looks to be a pretty impressive preamp. The new flagship preamp makes its debut at CES where it will be demoed in tandem with the ML3 Signature amp. It was designed to complement the ML3 directly, but can of course be used with any other appropriate power amplifier.
The VPS-100 Valve Phono Stage is a preamplifier made by Greece based Ypsilon and brought to the US market by Aaudio Imports. It’s not exactly an elegant looking device. The aluminum chassis harkens back to desktop computers of old. But as the adage goes, it’s what’s on the inside that counts.
