'Arrested Development' Finally Confirmed for May 26th
We tend to focus more on high-end gear than individual shows here on AV Rev but there are some things that you just can't ignore, like the cult classic known as 'Arrested Development.' The show is finally returning on May 26th, but not to TV. The show is exclusive to Netflix. This marks a potential for big change in the industry, and the first major show to move from TV to the internet. Not only does it mean a possible change in the way business is done, but it gives hope to fans of shows cancelled on traditional TV channels. If the show is a success on 'Netflix,' we could start to see some big changes. I

Marantz Intros a Pair of Networked AVRs
Marantz has announced two new receivers, both of which introduce some networking features to the company's AVR line. The $499 NR1504 and $649 NR1604 both offer streaming audio from Pandora, Sirius XM and Spotify, but only the 1604 gives you Apple AirPlay for easy streaming from your iOS device. The 1604 also gives you 7.1 channels of audio, while its little brother offers 5.1.

 Polk, Definitive and Boom are Now Under the Sound United Banner
DEI has made some significant shifts in the company structure and is now putting Polk, Definitive and Boom under the banner of Sound United. According to the parent company, this won't mean that the brands will merge, but that they will be able to more easily share resources between one another.

LG Prices 100 Inch Laser TV Priced at $8,999
It’s an exciting time for TVs. After a few years of relative stability, several new technologies are fighting for dominance. UHDTV sets are hitting the market, as are OLED and a few different takes on each.  LG’s latest is unique in that it uses technology traditionally only seen in projectors. The Korean company will be employing lasers.
