Dimension Films has agreed terms with rapper turned actor LL Cool J to star in Dolemite, a remake of the 1975 Blaxploitation cult classic featuring Rudy Ray Moore. The original Dolemite told the story of a pimp, recently released from prison who aimed to regain control of the nightclub he once owned (with the help of Kung Fu hookers of course). The remake of Dolemite will be modernized and made more politically correct featuring LL as "an entrepreneur" as opposed to a pimp, who is framed by an adversary. LL Cool J is also starring in the remake of Rollerball, scheduled for release later this year.
