Grammy winning rap star Eminem was sentenced to one year probation and community service today in Pontiac, Michigan according to a RollingStone.com report. Eminem (Marshall Mathers) had been charged for carrying a concealed weapon and brandishing a firearm in public on April 23, 2001 in relation to an event involving Douglas Dail, an associate of the band Insane Clown Posse. One must wonder if this slap on the wrist to this angry masoginist is enough to change his behavior. With both of his solo records well into the multi-platinum range, you'd expect Mr. Mathers to wise up and enjoy the role of the biggest star in pop music. Yet he continues to show is lack of tact by picking public fights with Brittany Spears (shouldn't he be trying to get her phone number instead?) and behaving foolishly as he was convicted ...

HiFi Works Speakers now available at Sam’s Club Shoppers at selected Sam’s Club warehouse shores can now pick up Sonance’s in-wall speakers to go along with their jumbo ten gallon jug of nacho cheese and industrial size box of Cheerios. Sonance is testing their line of HiFi Works brand of do-it-yourself in-wall and in-ceiling speakers at 30 Sam’s Club locations throughout the United States. John Lee Hooker, legendary bluesman and influence to rock stars ranging from Van Morrison to Bonnie Raitt to Carlos Santana, died last night at his home near San Francisco. Hooker's most recognizable song "Boom Boom" has been covered by nearly every blues band on the planet and used in numerous television commercials. His gravely voice and hard hitting, soulful style will be missed by millions.

Jesse Helms, The US Senate's most outspoken proponent of artistic censorship, reportedly attended a U2 concert as a special guest of Bono in Washington DC with his grandchildren according to ArrowFM.com. Helms said of the show "It was filled to the gills, and people were moving back and forth like corn in the breeze. They had the crowd going wild. When Bono shook his hips, that crowd shook their hips."

White’s classic children’s novel, is a 1973 animated musical feature about a literate spider (voiced by Debbie Reynolds) who rescues a kind-hearted pig (voiced by Henry Gibson). Paul Lynde, Agnes Moorhead and Rex Allen supply other voices. Aspect ratio is widescreen, enhanced for 16x9 TVs; sound formats are English Dolby Digital Mono and French Dolby Digital Mono, with English subtitles. Extras include a "meet the animals" DVD and computer game, an animal photo gallery and the theatrical trailer. MPAA rating is G.
