Peter Buck, guitarist of the U.S. pop super group REM was arrested for allegedly causing quite a scene on a flight from Seattle to London this past weekend. He may have played guitar on the song "Shiny Happy People" but things weren’t so shiny today as he appeared in court. The changes that Buck faces are two counts of assault, being drunk on an aircraft, threatening behavior, disobeying an aircraft commander and criminal damage. The good news for Buck is that that the court is allowing him to complete the band’s promotional tour and he will go back to Uxbridge Magistrates Court on June 18, 2001. His bail was set at £30,000 (approx $43,000 US).

Onkyo has introduced its first home theater receivers to use Dolby's new Pro Logic II processor, which delivers modern 5.1-channel surround sound from older, two-channel analog audio sources such as videotapes, CDs, satellite and cable TV receivers, Laserdiscs, and LPs. These three new receivers, including the company's least expensive model, also allow consumers to enjoy superior video and sound quality from the latest DTS and Dolby Digital DVDs.

Joey Ramone, lead singer of the groundbreaking punk band, The Ramones, passed away Sunday, April 15th, 2001. Ramone was hospitalized in March of this year and was diagnosed with lymphoma. His death was confirmed by the Ramone's longtime artistic director, Arturo Vega. For 22 years, Ramone fronted the influential punk band The Ramones. Most music critics and modern day punk bands feel that the Ramones paved the way for bands from the Clash and the Sex Pistols to Green Day and The Offspring. Joe Strummer, lead singer of the Clash called the Ramones "..the daddy punk group of all time," in a recent interview with Spin magazine.

BAMBOOZLED (New Line Home Video), released theatrically last year, is director Spike Lee’s controversial comedy/drama about a black television writer who uses racial stereotypes to create a hit show. Damon Wayans, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Savion Glover, Tommy Davidson and Michael Rapaport star. Aspect ratio is widescreen; sound formats are English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and English 2.0 Surround. Extras include an audio commentary track by Lee, a making-of featurette, 19 deleted scenes, an animated art gallery, music videos, cast and crew filmographies, the theatrical trailer and DVD-ROM features.
