In an attempt to bring their 5.1 CD and DVD-audio titles to the masses, DTS Entertainment will be going on a nationwide tour to allow people to audition these titles. A specially equipped bus with a 5.1-channel surround sound audio system provided by Pioneer and JBL will stop at hundreds if not thousands of music retail stores, to demonstrate the DTS sonic experience that 5.1 Digital Surround provides to music enthusiasts.

Utah Senator Orrin Hatch, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee announced yesterday that he will hold hearings to determine if the online MP3 swapping service Napster truly violates copyright law. A federal court ruled that Napster must stop its large base of users from trading copyrighted material this past Monday.
