Napster announced yesterday that beginning Friday, April 6th, Prince & The NPG Music Club will debut and promote a new song to the Napster Community through the company's Featured Music Program. The song, called "The Work - Pt. 1," is the first track from Prince's upcoming album, "The Rainbow Children," that has no official release date but is rumored to hit store shelves later this year. Although Prince has released several cybersingles in the past through his own website, this is the first time he has ever teamed up with a digital music company to promote his music.

Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. recently announced that worldwide shipments of their PlayStation 2 game machine have already reached 10 million units. This comes less than six months, compared to shipments of the original PlayStation that took three years to ship 10 million units. Sony hopes to double PlayStation 2 shipments during the fiscal year 2002, beginning April 1, 2001, with a projected worldwide target of over 20 million units.

The movie stars Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Bill Murray, under the direction of McG (Joseph McGinty Nichol). Aspect ratio is 2.35:1; sound formats are English Dolby Digital 5.1, English Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround and French Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround, with English and French subtitles. Extras include an audio commentary track by director McG and the film’s cinematographer, the theatrical trailer, featurettes on the film’s fashions, set design, martial arts and stunts, special effects, the director and wire-flying effects, deleted and extended scenes, outtakes and bloopers and music videos by Destiny’s Child and Apollo Four Forty.
