Bose Rolling Out iPod Compatible SoundDock
Looking to stir up a bit of competition and capitalize on the growing market for high quality iPod audio, Bose has released the SoundDock 10. Weighing in at 19lbs and measuring a full seventeen inches wide, nine inches high and ten inches deep, the SoundDock is impressive in size for an iPod targeted speaker system.

B&W Announces Zeppelin Mini iPod Speaker System
Intended to build upon the success of the Zeppelin, Bowers and Wilkins has announced the pending release of the Zeppelin Mini.  More akin to the aesthetics of a standard iPod docking station, the Mini abandons the Zeppelin look and goes for something a bit more practical.

The “It’s Only Rock and Roll” press conference has wrapped, and Apple has announced a series of upgrades to iTunes, and a new OS for the iPhone, as well as some significant - and some not so significant - upgrades to their series of iPods.

Solar Charging Hits the iPod Touch
Novothink is introducing the first Apple certified solar charger for the iPod Touch and the iPhone.  The hard shell, named the Solar Surge, slides over the iPod Touch and charges the portable music player by sunlight.  The solar panel is installed on the back of the unit and includes a USB port, similar to one found on a digital camera, to charge the iPod Touch or iPhone via a computer or laptop.

Logitech Rolling out a New Squeezebox
Logitech is following up on their last Wi-Fi music solution (the Logitech Boom) with the upcoming release of the Squeezebox Radio.  It connects up to your home network and accesses various internet radio services as well as music kept on network drives.  Sound is provided by a ¾” soft dome tweeter and a 3” long throw woofer which Logitech says have minimal distortion.
