Looking to stir up a bit of competition and capitalize on the growing market for high quality iPod audio, Bose has released the SoundDock 10. Weighing in at 19lbs and measuring a full seventeen inches wide, nine inches high and ten inches deep, the SoundDock is impressive in size for an iPod targeted speaker system.
Intended to build upon the success of the Zeppelin, Bowers and Wilkins has announced the pending release of the Zeppelin Mini. More akin to the aesthetics of a standard iPod docking station, the Mini abandons the Zeppelin look and goes for something a bit more practical.

The “It’s Only Rock and Roll” press conference has wrapped, and Apple has announced a series of upgrades to iTunes, and a new OS for the iPhone, as well as some significant - and some not so significant - upgrades to their series of iPods.
Novothink is introducing the first Apple certified solar charger for the iPod Touch and the iPhone. The hard shell, named the Solar Surge, slides over the iPod Touch and charges the portable music player by sunlight. The solar panel is installed on the back of the unit and includes a USB port, similar to one found on a digital camera, to charge the iPod Touch or iPhone via a computer or laptop.
