In a punk move, groundbreaking punk band the Sex Pistols have told the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to piss off. And they are not the only ones. Ozzy Osborne, the lead singer and front man for Black Sabbath, has historically been critical of the Rock Hall of Fame, despite being inducted with Sabbath in 2006. He is expected to show up at the event, but Johnny Rocket of the Sex Pistols is not. Under a new measure signed by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the threshold for a felony charge will be reduced to 100 counterfeit units, the same threshold in current law for illegitimate movie copies.

Singer Marc Cohn was shot in the head Sunday during an attempted carjacking. The bullet struck him above his right temple where it remained lodged. Doctors successfully removed the bullet and the singer has already been released from the Denver Health Medical Center.

Between iTunes and a Firewire hard drive at work, a ReQuest Fusion 250 music server at home and an iPod for the car, gym and airplane – I learned quickly that I could have massive amounts of music at my fingertips nearly everywhere I go. The question is – am I any better off for it?

Luther Vandross passed away at age 54 this Friday. The cause of death was not disclosed but Rob Cavanaugh, a spokesman for the JFK Medical Center in New Jersey where Vandross passed away, talked about the stroke the singer suffered in 2003 as something he "never fully recovered from". Vandross suffered from diabetes and hypertension for years.
