Peter Buck, guitarist of the U.S. pop super group REM was arrested for allegedly causing quite a scene on a flight from Seattle to London this past weekend. He may have played guitar on the song "Shiny Happy People" but things weren’t so shiny today as he appeared in court. The changes that Buck faces are two counts of assault, being drunk on an aircraft, threatening behavior, disobeying an aircraft commander and criminal damage. The good news for Buck is that that the court is allowing him to complete the band’s promotional tour and he will go back to Uxbridge Magistrates Court on June 18, 2001. His bail was set at £30,000 (approx $43,000 US).
