Performing live for the first time in nine months, Radiohead unveiled nine new songs at their July 22nd show in Lisbon, Portugal. The band is currently on a 12 date European mini-tour, taking a short break from recording their untitled sixth studio album for Capitol records. Upcoming show dates include two more nights in Portugal, then six dates in various cities in Spain. Despite the fact that many of the new Radiohead songs are already circulating around the internet, these shows will be the first chance for many fans to hear new tunes from the band including "There There," "We Suck Young Blood," and "Myxomatosis," According to a Radiohead spokesperson, the band has no plans to tour in North America this year.

In a press release confirming Guns N’ Roses upcoming performance in London on August 26, 2002 at the London Arena, the band has seemingly dropped former guitarist Paul Huge from the lineup and replaced him with former Psychedelic Furs axeman Richard Fortus. This may all be a moot point for many G n’ R fans who feel the band really ended when Saul Hudson, a.k.a. Slash and Izzy Stradlin called it quits, but the newest incarnation of Guns N’ Roses, with Axl Rose still as the front man, are going on a world tour this summer with five confirmed dates including headlining spots in Tokyo and Osaka Japan on August 17th and 18th at Japan’s Summer Sonic Festival.

Although it will only be a small cameo in the film, Madonna, like Paul McCartney and Duran Duran before her, has lent her musical talents to Die Another Day by recording the film’s theme song. She will also be traveling to Los Angeles next month to film the music video for the song.

Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, John Densmore and “musical guests” will perform on Friday September 6th as The Doors.
