Aerosmith has canceled its North American tour according to published reports. The reason for the cancellation is an undisclosed sickness to band singer and frontman, Steven Tyler. The band didn’t elaborate as to what the exact problem was. It was suggested that Tyler’s time off was going to be significant. Rumors of throat cancer that have circulated on the Internet have been denied by the band. One website, ContactMusic.com, reports that people who have seen Tyler recently said he has laryngitis-like symptoms.

Virgin Megastores, a subsidiary of Virgin Entertainment Group and Integrate Marketing (tour producer) announce the complete main stage lineup of the Virgin College Mega Tour (VCMT), presented by Dentyne Soft Chew Gum. Capitol recording artist, Yellowcard, will headline the 2006 Virgin College Mega Tour, along with support from Mae. The tour will visit 20 cities beginning in April 7th in Pomona, NJ. Yellowcard’s new album Lights and Sounds entered the Billboard Top 200 at #5 and landed at #1 on the Alternative Album chart. The title track and first single was a fast hit at radio, and its video is currently in “Big 10” rotation at MTV and is the most played video at MTV2.

The Rolling Stones confirmed that they will visit Shanghai as part of their 'A Bigger Bang' World Tour. Performing for their first time ever in mainland China, this historic event will take place Saturday, April 8th, 2006 in the intimate confines of the 8,500 seat Shanghai Grand Stage.

After 17 years the eighties rock’n’roll band "The Cars" are reuniting today as "The New Cars” to announce a brand new live album entitled "The New Cars: It's Alive". The album also features three new studio recordings written by original Cars band members Elliot Easton (guitar) and Greg Hawkes (keyboards) and new lead singer and guitarist, Todd Rundgren (New York Dolls, Meatloaf, Patti Smith, Hall and Oats) replacing Ric Ocasek.One of the new Studio recordings, "Not Tonight" will be released as the first single.

The Joan Jett anthem "I Love Rock and Roll" may seem more at home on a Time-Life collection of 80's songs than on stage in front of thousands of punk skateboard kids but that didn't stop the tour from adding Joan Jett and her Blackhearts to this year's bill.
