Sony’s UHDTV Will Come With 4K “Full Length Feature Hollywood Productions” Pre-Loaded
As it tends to be when a new technology hits, it’s a problem of the chicken and the egg.  People don’t want to buy 4K capable hardware when there’s no content for it, and companies don’t want to make Ultra HD content when no one has a UHD set.  Sony is in a fortunate place in that their company makes not only hardware, but content as well.  Their new XBR-84X900 reflects that, by including content with the TV itself.

Hisense Will Produce 55, 58 and 65 inch 3D 4K Android TVs
Ultra High Definition televisions are quickly on the way and the folks at Hisense are jumping on board with their own offerings.  There's nothing that truly sets the Hisense TVs apart from competitors in terms of feature set, but there are two considerations that may make Hisense a player worth keeping an eye on in the upcoming struggle for UHDTV dominance.

LG's 84 Inch Ultra-HD TV is Now Available in the US
If you've got the cash to spare, you can get your hands on an absolute monster of a set, as the 84 inch UHD TV from LG has finally hit the US with an MSRP of $19999.99.  There's plenty of interesting things packed into this TV, but the selling point is, obviously, the 3840 x 2160 resolution.  And don't worry, there's an upscaling engine included so you don't have to try and dig up 4K content quite yet.

Sharp Demos a New
We've seen a lot of innovation over the past few years - 4K resolution, 3D television, streaming video and OLED panels for starters.  Of course, just because we're moving on to bigger and better doesn't mean there's not room to refine what we've already got.  Sharp is doing just that with its new take on the LCD panel.

The 58
As fancy press type people, we get to go hands on with new sets at tradeshows and for reviews, but most folks don't get that opportunity.  That's especially true with TVs like Vizio's 21:9 Cinemawide, which is sold exclusively online, or at least was until today.  Now, anyone that wants a peek at what the company's offering can swing over to their nearest Sam's Club or Costco and get a look.
