LG's 84 Inch Ultra-HD TV is Now Available in the US
If you've got the cash to spare, you can get your hands on an absolute monster of a set, as the 84 inch UHD TV from LG has finally hit the US with an MSRP of $19999.99.  There's plenty of interesting things packed into this TV, but the selling point is, obviously, the 3840 x 2160 resolution.  And don't worry, there's an upscaling engine included so you don't have to try and dig up 4K content quite yet.

Sharp Demos a New
We've seen a lot of innovation over the past few years - 4K resolution, 3D television, streaming video and OLED panels for starters.  Of course, just because we're moving on to bigger and better doesn't mean there's not room to refine what we've already got.  Sharp is doing just that with its new take on the LCD panel.

The 58
As fancy press type people, we get to go hands on with new sets at tradeshows and for reviews, but most folks don't get that opportunity.  That's especially true with TVs like Vizio's 21:9 Cinemawide, which is sold exclusively online, or at least was until today.  Now, anyone that wants a peek at what the company's offering can swing over to their nearest Sam's Club or Costco and get a look.

The 84 Inch 4K LG Set Comes in at $20,000 – Comes to the US in October
A recent announcement regarding price and availability from LG means Sony's 4K set just isn't looking as exciting.  While Sony is going to be asking $25,000 this November, LG is selling its set for a chunk less and a month earlier. The $20,000 4K set uses the same Cinema 3D technology that you'll find in LG's other televisions and Resolution Upscaler Plus for your old HD and SD content.  After all, you've got to have something to watch on your new set.

Sony's 84 Inch 4K Set Comes in November at $25,000
While others will play around with their reasonably sized 1080p sets, those with $25,000 to drop can pick up a massive 84 inch 4K TV when the Sony XBR-84X900 launches this November.  Don't have a 4K source?  You're not alone.  Luckily, Sony's new set packs the 4K X-Reality PRO picture engine, which upscales your lower definition content.
