A new line of JVC full HD LCD televisions featuring the company's second generation high-speed LCD technology was announced today. The new flat panel sets feature the company's Clear Motion Drive II technology with a 120 frames per second (120Hz) frame rate, double the typical rate, to deliver crisp fast action images. To further enhance performance, the new line uses 10-bit LCD panels for more accurate color reproduction and more natural grey scaling.

JVC has expanded its LCD TV line-up with the addition of four new models that offer 1080p full HD resolution. All four models, in 37-, 42- and 47-inch screen sizes, incorporate an array of JVC technologies that combine to deliver sharp, natural images with even the most challenging program material.

Sony Electronics has announced that the company’s recently introduced “BRAVIA Internet Video Link” module will ship in July and retail for about $300. When attached to a compatible Sony television, the module will enable access to Internet video programming, including high-definition content, from providers like AOL, Yahoo! and Grouper, as well as Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony BMG Music.
