Artison has taken its flasgship LRS surround speakers and created its first in-wall, a unique speaker that combines the performance of the surface mount LRS with the stealth of an in-wall speaker. The LRS-IW is a complete speaker cabinet mounted inside an in-wall mount so it does not rely on the cavity created behind the baffle to control the performance of the system. The sound is said to be consistent and fully independent of the environment.

Meridian has introduced a new active analog in-wall loudspeaker, the M420, which will be showcased at the CEDIA Expo in September. The M420 is based on the company’s DSP420 digital in-wall speaker released in 2003 and includes the same dual 127mm long-throw bass drivers and a soft-domed 25mm tweeter with protective grille.

Phase Technology has introduced the newest addition to its Custom Installation series of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers – the CI-150. The CI-150 is the first in-wall speaker to combine the functions of a center channel theater speaker and the L/R channel speaker in a single model. The new design allows custom installers to mount a speaker on each side of a home theater video display, yet produce all the sound quality and accuracy of a third, center-channel speaker.

MartinLogan has announced the architecturally inspired high-performance Voyage and Passage in-wall loudspeakers. These speakers are MartinLogan’s latest offerings in the expanding in-wall loudspeaker market.
