Now, Apple TV users can enjoy more versatility from their media. Automatic has created a two-way IP control and feedback integration for Apple TV, compatible with Creston automatic systems and several others in the works.
A new line of Okoro Media Systems high-end media servers, the RK Digital Entertainment Servers, are being announced. Each server includes the following features: support for multiple zones, a rack-mountable chassis, the latest Intel i7 processor, six GB or more RAM, two TB or more storage space, a solid-state, eight GB OS hard drive, and a Blu-Ray Drive.
The new Mini System from Kaleidescape will be the home entertainment server company’s first multizone system contained within one device. The Mini System is capable of storing 225 DVDs or 2,500 CDs with the added storage cartridges, and it can be integrated with other Mini Systems or servers to enable full entertainment access in all rooms of the home.
The $99 Roku player is adding a free upgrade – Amazon’s On Demand video service. Customers will be able to purchase or rent DVDs and TV shows the day after they are released, and will have access to the 40,000 titles currently in Amazon’s database.
Vudu will now offer high definition movies that users can download to own, not just to rent. 50 titles will be offered in the first round of this venture, all from independent studios (Kino, FirstLook Studios, Magnolia Pictures and others).
