Warner Bros. Pictures and IMAX Theaters have announced that the upcoming sequels to the smash hit sci-fi film The Matrix will be released on IMAX's 70mm screen format. The first of the two sequels, The Matrix Reloaded, will be released nationwide on May 15, 2003 in the 35mm format and is tentatively scheduled for a June 6th release in over 35 IMAX theaters. The third Matrix film, The Matrix Revolutions, will be the first major Hollywood film to simultaneously debut in both the 35mm and 70mm IMAX formats on November 5, 2003. Several major motion pictures including Imagine Entertainment's Apollo 13 and 20th Century Fox's Star Wars: Episode 2 - Attack of the Clones have been shown in the IMAX format however these releases came long after their original theatrical release. Earlier this week my girlfriend asked me to TiVo Joe Millionaire but I forgot. The premise of the show is some loser guy lies to 20 chicks saying that he is a multi-millionaire. Thanks to the magic of Hollywood, the girls reportedly fight over landing him. Having dated in Hollywood in the not so distant past, I ask how this could be “reality TV” in any way shape or form? News from the internet has me wondering if I made a mistake by not recording it. Now the website The Smoking Gun says that Sarah Kozer, a finalist on the reality based TV show starred in bondage films under the name “Cindy Schubert.” While always clothed, Kozer appeared bound and gagged dressed as a nurse or cheerleader. No wonder this show is a hit.

CNN reports that the West Coast Dock workers lockout and its resulting labor dispute has been settled. The Audio-Video industry could be one of the most affected by the containers actually getting unpacked at a normal pace. With the Christmas 2002 selling season for mainstream consumer electronics mere days away, there are hundred of millions of dollars of plasma TVs, AV receivers, DVD players and other gear waiting to be unloaded or unpacked and ultimately sent off to retailers.
