A pair of movies comes out this week, one is a horror movie remake directed Michael Eisner’s son and the other by a man that directed one of the most beloved and critically lauded independent movies of all time. Believe it or not, Eisner’s kid did good.
There’s only one wide release coming to theaters this week, and a handful of movies coming to select theaters. Still, I’ll take quality over quantity any day, and Scorsese tends to veer towards quality. Click below to read about this week's releases.

The first week of February is the last of the post-Christmas lull that comes every year. We’re a week from The Wolfman and big budget pictures like Alice in Wonderland and Clash of the Titans are only a month away. This week though, you may want to stick to the limited releases.
The January slump continues. Only two movies are releasing wide this week, and they’re not that impressive. Still, this should give you plenty of time to catch up on all those Oscar nominees you missed in December.
