Actor Christopher Reeve died Sunday at 52 of complications from an infection caused by a bedsore. On Saturday, he went into cardiac arrest at his New York home and fell into a coma and died late Sunday at a hospital.

Comedian Rodney Dangerfield died Tuesday in Los Angeles, apparently due to complications from heart surgery, says CNN. Dangerfield is best known for his self-deprecating “I Don’t Get No Respect” humor and witty one-liners. His fans and supporters around the world including the Comedy Store on Sunset Strip and Penn & Teller are paying their respects.

Monster has inked a naming rights agreement with the San Francisco 49ers, which had renamed the historic Candlestick Park to Monster Park. Monster is a San Francisco-based company founded by native San Franciscan Noel Lee, and was selected over four other pre-approved companies, which included Oracle, Virgin, Macromedia, and Wells Fargo Bank.

The buzz in Hollywood this summer is who will be the next James Bond? Pierce Brosnan has reportedly announced that he’s dropping out of the role, partly because of dissatisfaction with the last couple of 007 outings. And who could blame him? Eon Productions, the company that owns the rights, has shown very little inclination since Brosnan’s first two Bond movies to re-imagine the British secret agent for contemporary audiences.

Fans weren’t able to rescue “My So-called Life” or “Party of Five” from the television chopping block, but they seem to have succeeded in reviving the cult animation hit “Family Guy” almost two years after the last original episode ran. 20th Century Fox has committed to at least 22 new episodes of the show according to Cartoon Network. The new episodes will begin in 2005 and may run on “Adult Swim”, Cartoon network’s late night programming for adults. Another option for the show would be to return to the Fox line-up. There has been no official announcement concerning what channel the show will air on. The choice to create more episodes shouldn’t have been a hard one.
