The first week of February is the last of the post-Christmas lull that comes every year. We’re a week from The Wolfman and big budget pictures like Alice in Wonderland and Clash of the Titans are only a month away. This week though, you may want to stick to the limited releases.
The January slump continues. Only two movies are releasing wide this week, and they’re not that impressive. Still, this should give you plenty of time to catch up on all those Oscar nominees you missed in December.
The post-apocalypse film has made a strong resurgence in the past years, and 2010 starts with what looks to be a strong, if simple entry. There’s a Jackie Chan flick, though his name no longer means much as far as entertainment goes, and some rather intriguing limited releases:
