Digital rights management (DRM) is a controversial topic. It was initially present in nearly every audio provider when music first went digital, but has since gone by the wayside on both Amazon and iTunes. Movie companies seem to be a bit more concerned about their files and are teaming up on the universal DRM service now known as UltraViolet.
After last week's disappointing films, Hollywood has decided to pay us back by releasing a pair of films that's actually worth watching. You've got the choice between a family friendly film full of edgy comedians or a new 'Predators' movie that's actually pulling in good reviews.
The most visually compelling film since 'Avatar' goes up against the third 'Twilight' film this week, both of which feature actor Jackson Rathbone. It might come as a surprise that the teen oriented vampire movie is the one that got good reviews. But hey, you should be out barbequing this weekend anyway, not cooped up inside a movie theater.
The two movies hitting theaters this week are as formulaic as they come. In one case, that's a good thing, allowing the stars to have more fun with their characters. In another, the tired formula just adds to an otherwise unappealing movie.
